Thanks Jen. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. I know where we went wrong and I have a pretty good idea what's coming, just don't know when. Look at what's going on in Venezuela; that's where we are headed.

The US credit downgrade was a warning shot. We ignored it. Actually we did worse than ignore it, flipped our creditors the bird by announcing QE non-stop. The next marker happens when another currency replaces the US dollar as the world currency of record. That's a warning shot too, but into the fleshy part of the thigh. That one will hurt because our Chinese credit card will be maxxed out and we'll need real money to pay for stuff. And remember the feds currently spend 40% more than it takes in and refuses to rein in spending. GDP will shrink, prices will rise and our future will be 50 shades of gray, bleak and depressing. The elderly and others on fixed incomes will suffer. Obama will achieve his goal of making the rich poorer. The poor will be poorer as well and the middle class will be destroyed.

If the USA were a ship, it w/b the Titanic. The fiscal iceberg was seen and the Community Organizer captain gave the order "full speed ahead." Some crew members and passengers warned of the danger, and the captain laughed and offered everybody drinks on the house. The matter was put to a vote and the captain won. He has one of the nicest lifeboats. Others are for sale.

Criminally reckless fiscal malfeasance was the result, but it was not the cause. Excessive wasteful debt is not an economic problem or an accounting error, but a moral failure. Obama is the proximate cause, but we elected him. Tocqueville and the founders warned that our constitutional republic would endure only as long as its people remained virtuous and vigilant. At no other time in our nation's history would Americans have elected such a small petulant unvetted perpetual adolescent to the presidency. At no other time in our history would a major political party nominate such a man. But the modern Democrat party did exactly that, and a majority of the electorate voted for him.

Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan were singularly qualified to take on the unprecedented challenges facing our nation. The Governor had experience turning failing businesses into successful ones and no one knew the intricacies of the federal budget as well as Ryan. I have no doubt that they were the best men to lead our nation in these trying times. No reasonable person who understands the what's a stake and desires what's best for America could disagree. But voters meeting those qualifications, the type of voters that Madison and Hamilton envisioned, went missing on November 6, 2012. A majority of those who showed up voted for more of the same failure and excuses.

The best advice I can offer is to pray and do everything you can to prepare for difficult times. As Ronald Reagan said, "Freedom is always one generation away from extinction." We must all do everything we can to preserve, protect and defend freedom and the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so that we won't be remembered as the generation who let the lamp of liberty be extinguished. The stakes could not be greater. If we fail, another Iron Curtain will descend this time over America, and a new Dark Ages will begin.
